July 3rd I woke up at about 2:30a, I was not sure why at the time. The flash and bang answered my question. A nice lighting storm was directly overhead. One bang stands out in my mind or should I say the series of bangs I thought 5 piccolo peat bombs went off above our heads one second apart. By now everyone was awake. I slept poorly the rest of the night but man this morning I could just feel the peace of God over take me. Amazing. I feel like something indescribable is going to happen,. I can’t wait to get to know the people.
Evening- Visitations were amazing the people love God and want prayer. One womens request touched my heart she did not want prayer for herself but for her family to know Christ more. I also met the oldest and 2nd oldest men on the island. VBS was fun but i started to wonder what the point was(i now see this as spiritual warfare),evil thoughts. Then I worked with kids on phonics which brought my mood up. Then that night Emily gave a presentation about The Helene school and she spoke right to my heart I saw the point of us being there. I LOVE how God works through other people! I played some basketball and got owned it’s been too long……..
