The island of Helene clearly demonstrates God beautiful creation. The people are beautiful, the animals intriguing, and the scenery takes your breath away.
Last week we hiked up to the cross. A couple of years ago Alternative Mission put the cross on top of this big hill. You can see it from all over the island and even as you approach the island from the sea. The views up there are magnificent. Enjoy.
The clinic isĀ down in that grouping of buildings.
The closest island is Morat followed by Barbaretta.

The group that made the hike.
I played basketball today. Man you get sweaty quick, but it is a great way to hang with the guys and meet new ones. We went to lunch at like the one local island restaurant. The service was a little slow, as expected, it took 2 hours for all of our food to come out. But it sure was good.
God Bless,
Paul

hey paul,
sounds beautiful. God has created such amazing things that can take your breath away. Here is a quote that i got in an e-mail ” Life isn’t about how many breaths you take but how many moments take your breath away. Love the pic of you by tr cross.

At a retreat once, Katy found a cool description of God in nature…The class had to find one piece of nature that represented “God’s fingerprint” It certainly seems like God rewards you in many ways for your service to others…the relationships, discovery, strength, and the beauty of the island(so pretty perhaps God just put His whole handprint on it!)…I love the pictures!
with blessings, rebecca
So–you ARE trying to recruit me to go there! Great blogs–super shots–especially you under the Cross
Kenny came by tonight to drop off check. I had him come in and meet mom. We had a nice chat–seems like a fine lad.
