Thanfully we did not get much from Hurricane Dean. We got one or two quick hard showers from the outer bands and higher winds but no real damage. I have not heard any reports of damage on the Island. We are thanking God that the hurricane did not come our way. And from what I have read it looks like it was not as bad in Mexico as it could have been.
We did hike up to the cross the day of the storm and the waves on the Northside were a little bigger and the ocean was churned up a little bit. Normally all the water is a shade of blue not the nasty brown.

When I waked to the bight yesterday parts of the path were full of blown in sea garabge so I snapped some pics of that too. Made it a little bit harder to walk there.
This is right around the corner from the basketball court.
Random Storm Garbage.
The bridge acted as a dam.
The approach to the bight(now comeplete with street lights and a road/sidewalk)
I am still in shock that I leave on saturday. I have been doing a bunch of random stuff the last few days. I took apart a sink in the staff guys bathroom. It has been paritaly clogged since I got here. I found a straw,a drain stopper and lots of hair.
The kids in school yesterday were wild. Pray that they will have better attitudes and listen today. Kids that normally are good were causing problems yesterday.
Both Kenree and Issiash showed up for tutoring, however they were not having an A day with remembering. They were forgetting letters that I thought they had mastered long ago.
God Bless,
Paul

Ugh, we just cleaned all those areas. Well i guess in Helene your work is never done, no matter what it may be!
So glad you are alright! I can’t believe you’re already on the journey back… All school year you can look back on this experience for inspiration…
love and prayers,
